Three days in April, and the most famous steeplechase in the world. Hyperion is now arranging hospitality for the Randox Grand National Festival 2027, personally, from the first conversation to the final race.
The Grand National was first run at Aintree in 1839, when Lottery took the inaugural race, and it has been the great test of horse and rider ever since: more than four miles and thirty fences, with Becher’s Brook, the Canal Turn and The Chair among them. Red Rum won it three times, and 2027 marks fifty years since the last of those victories. Today the Festival fills three days in April, and on Saturday afternoon millions around the world stop to watch.
It is a week of real atmosphere, and the right setting makes all the difference. We take care of every part of it, so that the racing is yours to enjoy.
THE FESTIVAL
THURSDAY 8 APRIL
Opening Day, with the Aintree Hurdle and the Bowl Chase
FRIDAY 9 APRIL
Ladies Day, with the Melling Chase and the Topham over the National fences
SATURDAY 10 APRIL
Grand National Day, with the Liverpool Hurdle and the Randox Grand National
THE RACE
The Grand National goes off at 4pm on Saturday. Gates open at 11am on Thursday, 10.30am on Friday and 10am on Grand National Day, with racing from 1.45pm on the first two days and 12.45pm on Saturday.
THE STYLE
There is no official dress code, and Ladies Day on Friday is the most dressed-up day of the week. In hospitality we suggest smart day dress on every day: a suit or tailored separates, with a coat for an April afternoon on Merseyside.
THE ARRIVAL
Aintree draws some of the largest crowds in British racing, and Liverpool’s best hotels fill early for Festival week. We arrange chauffeured transfers timed around your day, and secure rooms well in advance.
Timings are set by the racecourse and may change. We confirm every detail with you before the day.
THE PARADE RING
A tasting menu from one of Liverpool’s most celebrated kitchens, served in Paddock Lodge overlooking the Parade Ring.
THE WINNING POST
On the fourth floor of the Princess Royal Stand, with panoramic views of the course and the Winning Post.
THE EARL OF DERBY STAND
A relaxed and sophisticated restaurant on the third floor of the Earl of Derby Grandstand.
THE START LINE
Premium dining and lounges looking over the start of the Grand National and the home straight.
THE GRANDSTAND
Your own room for the day, from Grandstand boxes with a private balcony over the winning line to executive boxes in the Pavilion.
ON REQUEST
We recommend the right setting for your guests and the occasion, and can arrange any of Aintree’s restaurants on request.
A private box or a table in the restaurant that suits you, chauffeured transfers from your door, and guidance on every detail of the day. Wherever you are travelling from, we can arrange flights and hotels around the Festival. For a day to remember from the moment you leave, we can arrange a seat on the Belmond British Pullman to Aintree, with brunch on the way and dinner on the journey home. On the day, a single point of contact looks after you and your guests from arrival to the final race.
Whether you are hosting clients across all three days or coming for Grand National Day alone, the arrangement is shaped around you.
